You spoke, and we listened. One thing that we heard from a lot of customers was that—despite their best efforts—they were still seeing some settled creatine in the bottom of their glass. Momentous® Signature Spec Creatine is micronized into an ultra-fine powder that dissolves more thoroughly, for a grit-free experience that elevates your daily creatine routine.
Our creatine is supremely micronized resulting in an ultrafine powder, similar to powdered sugar, that mixes effortlessly into liquid laying a foundation for a seamless daily routine.
Momentous® Signature Spec Creatine features a particle size of ≥ 200 mesh and an ultrafine powder that dissolves completely. No clumping. No grit. No residue.
What does mesh mean?
When referring to creatine powder, mesh describes the particle size of the powder. Specifically, it refers to how finely the creatine has been milled and the size of the screen (mesh) that the particles can pass through.
For example:
- 80 mesh = larger/coarser particles
- 200 mesh = finer particles
- 300 mesh+ = very fine particles
A higher mesh number means the powder is finer because it can pass through a screen with more openings per inch.
For creatine monohydrate, you'll often see:
- Standard creatine monohydrate: around 80–200 mesh
- Micronized creatine: typically 200 mesh or higher
The benefits of a higher mesh (finer powder) are:
- Mixes more easily in liquids
- Less settling at the bottom of the glass
- Smoother mouthfeel
Importantly, mesh size does not change the effectiveness of creatine. A 200-mesh creatine and an 80-mesh creatine will provide the same creatine monohydrate and the same performance benefits. The difference is mainly in mixability and texture.
