As you know, we’re constantly working to improve both the quality of our products and your experience using them. One recent upgrade we’ve made is the transition to an easy-peel freshness seal on all of our powdered supplements.
What are these small "holes"?
When the seal is removed, you may notice a small amount of light that is able to be seen through these impressions shaped like a star on the seal. It's important to know that these impressions are intentional.
These aren’t simply open "holes"—they are part of a single-direction pressure management system designed to allow air to move out of the packaging without allowing anything back in. Each vent is precisely engineered to release internal pressure while preventing outside air, moisture, dust, or other contaminants from entering—thereby maintaining product integrity.
When the package seal is intact and pressure is applied from the outside, the valve remains closed, blocking any inward passage. However, when pressure moves from inside the package, the valve opens outward to safely release air in an outward direction.
This design helps protect the integrity and freshness of the product, especially during transit when containers are exposed to changes in air pressure and temperature.
Will this cause powder to leak?
In rare cases, as they do allow for the outward directional flow, you may notice a minimal amount of powder around the seal or inside the lid. While this can happen due to vibration and pressure release during shipment, the amount should be small and does not negatively affect the quality of our products.
